Pragmatist- Pragmatists are eager to try things out. They like concepts that can be applied to their job. They tend to be impatient with lengthy discussions and are practical and down to earth.
Activist- Activists like to be involved in new experiences and are enthusiastic about new ideas. They enjoy doing things and tend to act first and consider the implications afterwards. They are unlikely to prepare for the learning experience or review their learning afterwards.
Reflector- Reflectors like to view the situation from different perspectives. They like to collect data, review and think carefully before coming to any conclusions. They enjoy observing others and will listen to their views before offering their own
Theorist- Theorists like to adapt and integrate observations into complex and logically sound theories. They think problems through step- by-step. They tend to be perfectionists who like to fit things into a rational scheme.
Kinasthetic-a learning style in which learning takes place by the student carrying out a physical activity, rather than listening to a lecture or watching a demonstration.
Visual- in which ideas, concepts, data and other information are associated with images and techniques. an example of this is if people would use mind maps etc. in their work to help them map out what they are saying, doing.
Auditory- in which a person learns through listening. An auditory learner depends on hearing and speaking as a main way of learning. Auditory learners must be able to hear what is being said in order to understand and may have difficulty with instructions that are written. They also use their listening and repeating skills to sort through the information that is sent to them.
I am a Reflective learner, knowing this helps me to learn as I can think things through before I do anything.

Word Processing: Advantages
Word Processing: Disadvantages
My Own Experience -
Word
What went well
when I used Microsoft word on my game design document it worked well and I could access all of the features properly, I could add headings and spell-check my work my work effectively, I also saved my work regularly so I could go back to earlier versions if I needed to.
What did not go well
in my game design document I kept on using words that did not show up correct on its system but I did spell them right. the ruler option on the toolbar was in the way most of the time so sometimes I enlarged or made the page smaller by accident.
PowerPoint
What went well
When I used PowerPoint for my software technology work it worked well as I was able to import images that were relevant to the project without too much hassle, I could also use good slide designs to make it more appealing.
What did not go well
When adding more to the PowerPoint I noticed that the load up time increased and when editing the PowerPoint it actually worked a bit slower. When changing font It was a bit of a pain as I had to change it if I clicked on the title by mistake.
Email
What went well
When using emails I can send whenever I want and it does not take much getting used to as it is a simple process.
What did not go well
When receiving emails I have had junk mail which have had attached viruses or phishing links on them.
VOIP
Skype
What went well
When I use Skype to talk to friends, I noticed it worked smoothly and I could talk to my friends (with my mic) without hassle also I could access my webcam without any errors coming up.
What did not go well
When on Skype I sometimes forget my password and it is a hassle to change it, also the connection did falter at times and I had to login back in once or twice.
- You can save your work as many times as you like and you can save different versions so you can back to an earlier one.
- corrections can easily be made of your work.
- you can make use of the features available with the software e.g. borders, text layout
- you can improve the accuracy of your document by using tools such as: spell checker, grammar checker.
Word Processing: Disadvantages
- you can become reliant on spell checker and not proof read your work
- it takes time to learn to use the program effectively
- you hand writing skill can deteriorate
- you need a computer and most cases internet access
- Can easily input images
- Templates are built in for different appearances
- Can easily add media and recordings
- Master slides make presentations consistent
- add notes for future reference
- File size can become quite large on medium to large presentations
- Some of the features can be quite complicated to use and even the simple features require some getting used to
- When at a different computer, you cant rely on it to run your presentation, there are too many software conflicts and disk space barriers.
- Takes quite a bit of time to create a complete presentation
- they can be used all day every day
- Emails are delivered extremely fast when compared to traditional post
- Emails can be sent to one person or several people.
- you can send a range of media (Video, Images)
- you and the recipient need internet access
- Viruses can be easily sent
- Phishing- sending an email to a user falsely claiming to be a legitimate company to scam the user into providing information
- Spam- junk mail
- free communication
- can call across the world
- brings societies together
- has potential to be a great technology
- needs internet access
- no language translator
- has an effect on your contact with outside world
